Read our exclusive interview with this beautiful humble young lady to get more up close and personal with her interests, goals, and dreams.

1.  First and foremost, please give a brief introduction of yourself.

Bonjour! I’m Claudelvina, and she goes by the name Clau most of the time. Turning 24 and a few key things about me: a political science graduate, a freelance model, and currently a full-time digital creator on various social media platforms, particularly YouTube. Since I was young, I’ve always had a deep love for languages, books, and psychological topics and research and I strongly believe that these interests have shaped me into an observant person.

 

2. You look stunning in every outfit you have on. Share with us who is/are your fashion inspirations.

Thank you! Looking presentable and clean has always been a way for me to respect my body and myself. I’ve always drawn inspiration from Pinterest, social media and occasionally from a fashionable stranger I come across.

 

3. In three words, describe to us your sense of style.

I would say that my style resonates more with a minimal, classy, and clean appearance!

 

4. What is your go-to outfit if you are in a rush?

Since one can never avoid a day when they’re in a rush, especially for an impromptu occasion, I would always opt for a pair of Mother denim jeans, a fitted basic tee, and my Crocs. This minimalist style, along with my comfortable Crocs, is perfect for me on such days.

 

5. High heels? Sneakers? Ballerina flats?

I’m definitely not a high-heels kind of person on most typical days as I prioritize fashionable comfort above anything else, so I would prefer sneakers and Crocs as my go-to footwear. Oh, and I’m also a fan of boots! They’re a staple in my wardrobe as well.

 

6. What is one item in your closet do you wear the most?

It would be my workout clothing set since I engage in daily yoga and exercise routines.

 

7. What are your go-to favourite brands from ZALORA?

I would go for Michael Kors, Crocs, and Calvin Klein for my preferred brands on ZALORA!

 

8. Drop us some fashion tips for women who want to elevate their everyday style.

Learn to find fits that compliment your body and skin tone, create capsule wardrobes, and discover your personal style to boost your inner confidence. You can also experiment with minimal patterns, colours, oversized and undersized items according to your preferences to add some excitement to your daily outfits. Above all, be confident and embrace your skin within your outfits.

 

9. You have flawless skin. How does your skincare routine look like? We would love to know.

Thank you! I’ve experienced hormonal breakouts in the past due to my skin sensitivity, but it has healed wonderfully now after conducting in-depth research on skincare ingredients and experimenting with different products to determine their effectiveness for different skin types. Currently, my minimal skincare routine mainly consists of water-based products. It includes a non-stripping face cleanser, toner, serum, essence (used for extra hydration when needed), hyaluronic acid-based moisturizer, and sunscreen during the day.

 

10. If you could only choose three makeup items to carry on with you, what would it be?

My most essential makeup items to carry are liquid blusher, M.A.C lipstick, and mascara!

 

11. What often motivates you to stay in shape and feel healthy?

I believe that one should care for and never neglect their body’s needs. When you think about it, our body has been there for us since we were young kids and has been helpful in many situations. I consider it a blessing that we should neither take for granted nor overlook. Therefore, it is important to me that one values and respects their body by adopting healthy habits such as maintaining a nutritious diet and engaging in activities like exercise, yoga, and workouts. These practices can benefit both you and your body in the long run.

 

12.  We noticed that you love reading books. What would be the top three books you would recommend for people to read?

You got it right there, I’m a big fan of books. Good books from esteemed authors like Robin Sharma, Stephen Covey, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Rhonda Byrne, James Clear, and many others have had a significant influence on my life. They have helped me become more aware of my decisions and thoughts, ultimately inspiring me to strive to become the best version of myself. My top three recommendations would be “Atomic Habits” by James Clear, “The Magic” by Rhonda Byrne, and “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen R. Covey.

 

13. What are some self-care practices that are important to you?

In my opinion, holistic self-care should encompass the mind, soul, and body. For mind care, meditation for relaxation and mental clarity is essential, along with nourishing the brain by dedicating time to journaling, listening to podcasts, and reading good books. For the soul, engaging in daily positive self-talk has had a profound positive impact on my life. Lastly, since the body also deserves love and care, practicing good hygiene, maintaining a healthy diet, and incorporating yoga and workouts are crucial for my physical well-being.

 

14.    What would be an ideal Sunday day off for you?

My typical Sunday activities usually involve cafe-hunting, as I enjoy searching for a place with good pastries. Once I’m back home, I always take the time to indulge in a good book and treat myself to good movies on Netflix. And oh! I’d engage myself in cooking and trying out new recipes too .

 

15. What is one thing that people would be surprised to know about you?

Given the recurring instances of being mistaken for my racial background, it may not come as a surprise but I am half Hakka Chinese, with my mother being of Hakka descent.

 

16.  Who is your all-time favourite Disney character?

Growing up, I watched a lot of Tinker Bell, so she holds a special place as my most favorite Disney character.

17.  What is your greatest pet peeve?

This might come off as funny but one of my biggest pet peeves is when someone repeatedly asks the same question, even though they clearly heard my response. No offense!

 

18.  If you could live a day in someone’s life, who would it be and why?

If I had the opportunity to experience a day in someone else’s life, I would choose to be a child living in the traditional lifestyle of either of my parents. The idea of immersing myself in their world and embracing the present moment is something that I find truly exciting.

 

19. What is one thing that a woman should do at least once in her life.

In my opinion, one important thing that every woman should do in their life is to pursue their dreams. Whether it’s starting a business, tending to a garden, creating a skincare line, or engaging in any other endeavor, it’s crucial to find something that genuinely excites them and makes them eager to wake up each day. Life is too short to waste time on something that doesn’t bring happiness or fulfillment, including in your career. It’s essential to prioritize your own passions and pursue a path that resonates with your true self.

 

20. Every woman should know how to…

take good care of themselves, nourishing their minds with positive thoughts and striving to achieve internal and external well-being. Finding a balance between internal and external well-being is key, as it contributes to a healthier and more fulfilling life.
