We are officially halfway through 2024 and we keep bringing you the goods. And when we say goods, we mean these good-looking men for you to ogle your eyes over. For this month’s Men Crush Issue, we bring you Xavier Low, an entrepreneur who does modelling on the side. Get to know one Xavier Low by reading through our exclusive Men Crush Issue interview below!
1. Give us a little insight on what you do for a living.
I am currently running a cleaning service business with my partners in Kuala Lumpur called Dust Out Cleaning. Our team provides high-quality cleaning services for both commercial and residential. On the side, I take up some modelling gigs as well.
2. You have a great physique. How do you stay in shape?
Oh, well, thanks! I always make sure I park some time aside to exercise. I am very strict with myself when it comes to my body physique. I work out 3 – 4 times a week while also paying great importance to my diet. On days where my schedule is really tight, I’ll squeeze some time out to do a quick 30-minute run on the treadmill to get some sweat off.
3. Drop us your workout routine.
Hiking and swimming are my favourite lifestyle activities, although not particularly categorized under workout routine. I guess for workout routines, I start off with some cardio like Tabata or running. Sometimes I watch fitness YouTube videos and exercise along, especially with Allblanc videos which are my absolute favourites. And I guess I do a fair share of push-ups, lifting and some others to train up the other muscles as well.
4. It looks like you have done some modelling work. Tell us more about that.
I’ve done several modelling gigs for my friend’s product portfolio. Outside of formal modelling photoshoots, I really enjoy taking random OOTD shoots with my friends in both indoor and outdoor settings – as they always say, “capturing the little moments in life that sometimes goes otherwise forgotten”.
5. If you were to model for any brands, what would it be?
I have a great interest in luxury brands so yes, one day I’d love to model with the luxury maisons such as Chanel, Dior etc.
6. How do you keep yourself motivated?
Going out to meet more people, travelling more to explore different cultures and of course, taking all the learnings every day.
7. What is a perfect Sunday for you?
A chill morning with a cup of hot long black and space out with my cats at home. In the afternoon, visit a nice café for a coffee date.
8. In your opinion, who do you think is the most stylish?
My king and queen, Harry Styles and Lady Gaga for sure.
9. What is one thing that people would be surprised to know about you?
I guess I get it quite often that I look cold and mean but I’m actually pretty friendly and down to earth.
10. What is a big no in fashion?
I don’t judge anyone for their fashion because everyone has their own unique style when it comes to fashion. But wrinkly shirts and pants are a big no to me. Please iron your clothes.
11. We noticed you have impeccable skin. Drop your skincare routine!
Stay hydrated and very hydrated! Toner, serum, and sunscreen are must haves every day.
12. If you could have a lengthy conversation with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?
My grandparents. Never got the chance to tell them this as a big boy that I am now; that I am very proud and happy to be their grandson.
13. Who is your celebrity crush?
S.H.E, Taylor Swift, Coldplay and many more.
14. In your opinion, what is the one thing people should pay more attention to?
Be kind, always.
15. What song instantly puts you in a good mood?
“My Universe” by Coldplay and BTS, what’s yours?
16. What would your weapon of choice be during the zombie apocalypse?
Okay, you got me for this one. Can I not choose to have a weapon because I’m pretty sure the zombies have good capabilities to steal it away from me. I’ll opt for superpowers if that’s okay.
17. What is a red flag to you when out on a date?
I guess because I hustle a lot in life and 24 hours a day always doesn’t seem to be enough – I would greatly appreciate for people to be punctual. Being late for dates is a big no for me.
18. What is the most valuable clothing item that you currently have in your closet?
A set of belt and tie from Hermès. It was a university graduation gift from my parents to me. It brings about a lot of memories, fun times, struggles that came along with the graduation certificate. And ultimately, the faith and support they provided me throughout my university days miles away in Switzerland.
19. We are halfway through 2024. What do you hope for this year?
Things have been great thus far but I’ll hope continue pursing my dreams and hope to be doing better at the things I’m working on now.
20. Every man in Malaysia should know how to….
Be a gentleman, be respectful and be kind!
