All Places We Visited in Taiwan

Day 1: Touchdown at Taoyuan International Airport

Touchdown at Taoyuan International Airport, and Taiwan instantly unfolded like a new chapter in style. From the first airport breeze to the seamless ride toward Parkview Hotel Taipei, every moment whispered sophistication. Thanks to KKday’s curated door-to-door flow, our journey began effortlessly—an arrival that felt more runway than routine. That evening, Taipei’s golden glow welcomed us softly, the perfect prelude to days ahead.

Day 2 — Playing Tourist at Taipingshan

Our first full day opened in the cool hush of Taipingshan National Forest Recreation Area, one of Taiwan’s most soul-soothing escapes. KKday bundled our day seamlessly—the charming Bong Bong Train and access to the mossy Jianqing Historic Trail.

We hopped on the Bong-Bong Train which once used for logging, now offers travelers a whimsical ride through cypress groves. The rhythmic bong-bong of its wheels on the tracks gave the forest a heartbeat of its own.

The Jianqing Historic Trail felt like walking inside a perfume note—cedar, moss, and the hush of old wood underfoot as much of the old track has now been reclaimed by shade, moss, and fog. The trail is flat and friendly, stretching about 900 meters one way lined with relics of its history. Here, fashion mirrored the mood: earth-tone layers, cozy knits, and clean sneakers blending seamlessly into the hush of greenery.

In the evening, we returned to Taipei to catch the golden-hour glow from the Taipei 101 Observatory. Later, we made our way to Jinchufa Beef Restaurant, a favorite spot where the illuminated tower creates a picture-perfect backdrop. Before calling it a night, our KOLs snapped their must-have Instagram shots and grabbed bubble tea—the sweetest way to wrap up a day in Taiwan.

Day 3 — Exploring Taiwan’s history and culture at Longshan Temple

Day three swept us into the heart of Taipei’s culture and city buzz. Our first stop was Longshan Temple Station, home to the historic Longshan Temple built in 1738. Often called the spiritual anchor of Taipei, the temple is a showcase of classical Taiwanese architecture that blends Buddhist, Taoist, and Confucian traditions. From there, we walked to The Red House in Ximending, a hub of street culture and creativity. By midday, our appetites led us to Moon Moon Food, a cozy Banqiao eatery honored with a Michelin Bib Gourmand nod.

After lunch, we recharged at Matcha One, a café devoted to Japan’s green gold. The creamy matcha drinks were rich, vibrant, and oh-so Instagram-worthy. Then it was off to Zhongshan, one of Taipei’s chicest shopping areas. Boutiques, cafés, and lifestyle stores lined the streets, turning the district into a fashion playground. Crossbody bags and cropped tops stood out, making bold statements among Taipei’s stylish crowd.

Day 4 — Discovering Natures at Yehliu, jiufen and Shifen

Our day began under the blazing sun at Yehliu Geopark, a coastal wonder famous for its otherworldly rock formations sculpted by wind and waves. The most iconic of them all—the “Queen’s Head”—stood proudly against the sea breeze, a natural crown carved over thousands of years.

From the coast, we journeyed inland to the charming town of Shifen, where the roar of the Shifen Waterfall—nicknamed “Taiwan’s Niagara”—set the stage. Here, we snacked on peanut ice cream rolls, a local street food delight, before gathering at the lantern station. Each of us scrawled wishes—some heartfelt, others cheeky—onto colourful paper lanterns and watched them float skyward.

Later, we arrived at Jiufen, the nostalgic hillside town glowing with lanterns in warm red and gold. The air was thick with the scent of tea and pastries. At the famous A-Mei Teahouse, we enjoyed steaming cups of oolong and breathtaking views reminiscent of a Studio Ghibli film, before threading through the sizzle of Raohe Night Market.

Day 5 — Having unique Experience at Taichung

We began Day 5 in Taichung with a detour to the Disgusting Food Museum at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, the first of its kind in Asia, featuring 85 bizarre foods from around the world, including Taiwan’s famous stinky tofu.

After testing our taste buds with bizarre foods, we zipped off on the High Speed Rail to Taichung, heading to the whimsical Rainbow Village in Nantun District. Every wall bursts with hand-painted colourful characters and patterns, while the KOLs sport vibrant outfits, making every corner Instagram-worthy.

Wrapping up the day, we made our way to the Gaomei Wetlands, a place where sky, sea, and land seem to melt into one breathtaking canvas. Known for its sweeping tidal flats and towering wind turbines on the horizon, it’s one of Taichung’s most photogenic gems.
